We had a great time with Cool Running Tours. Artley is a local fisherman who takes people deep sea fishing or a tour guide. He took us for a 3 hour tour through the mangroves and we saw a fantastic show of the dolphins and than he took us two different great spots for snorkeling. He is a very friendly guy and knows everything about his beloved Roatan. Make sure you choose Artley if Cool Runninag Tours you won't be disappointed.

Fishing with Artley was so much fun. As a fisherman I recognize someone who knows what they are doing. We caught a bunch of Tuna and Artley fillet them right at the dock for us. His service was so outstanding, we booked him for snorkeling the next day. Which was great as well.

Great fishing with Captain Artley. We caught black fin tuna and wahoo on a half day trip. Captain Artley has a nice boat and will take you to where the fish are biting! Thanks for a fun and productive fishing trip!

We highly recommend a day fishing with Artley while you are in Roatan! We asked Artley last minute if he could take us out for an afternoon fishing trip, which we realize isn’t usually an ideal time. We killed it anyway. Artley had everything we needed to slay fish all afternoon. He even serenaded the fish with some old school country tunes which apparently they just go crazy for. We had lots of laughs about song choices. He had drinks on ice, and also prepared a little bit of the fresh tuna we caught right on the boat. Thanks for an amazing afternoon fishing and being an incredible Captain full of good life and good energy! Will definitely go out with him again. Not just for the fishing, but to hang with him a little more.

Captain Artley was great! He was really cool and patient, even when untangling the lines!
My son and I had a great time with him.

We have been fishing with Artley for 12 years. We always make sure to book a trip with him when we are in Roatan. He also knows all of the great snorkel spots and takes us snorkeling after we fish. We caught 9 tuna and a big barracuda last time (only 8 tuna pictured because one was used to catch the barracuda). We caught all of these in less than an hour. We could have caught a lot more but decided that was more than we needed and snorkeled the Spooky Channel for a while. Artley is a great guy to know on the island. I highly recommend him for your fishing excursions!

Artley was a great host, provided all that we asked for / needed & was extra kind towards the end of the trip when one of got sea-sick, and the other had some technical difficulties! We appreciate his patience, knowledge of the waters, and overall fun attitude during our excursion. Thank you!

We had a wonderful morning fishing with Artley. The day was perfect and we cruised around fishing for about 4 hours. Artley is very personable and full of fun facts about the island. He is also very flexible as far as how long you fish...if we had wanted to fish all day or just an hour; he would have accommodated. We didn't catch a ton of fish - but it was just a day that fish weren't biting. Artley did clean all of our fish for us so they were ready to grill that night. If you are in Roatan, fishing with Artley is definitely recommended!

I have owned a home on Roatan for seven years. I come to the island 4-5 times a year, sometimes with family, sometimes alone. With the island being somewhat shut down, I came alone for a few weeks in September and October. There's really not much to do in town. Most places are closed, but my friend Captain Artley Gentle was ready to go fishing. He arrived at my dock about 5:00 AM on Wednesday. Fortunately, the deep water is only a couple hundred yards from my dock so we dropped lines immediately. The weather was particularly calm. It was peaceful. We just talked. Conversation is always interesting with Artley...a lot of stories. After some time, we came to the point at the far west end of the island. The waters are usually very choppy there, where two currents collide, but not today. There were several thunderstorms in the distance. You could see rain all around, but not on us. To my amazement, I could see a water spout in the distance. After a few minutes, I saw another and another, to a total of about five in thirty minutes. This blew me away because I had never seen one in person. Artley said they are common this time of year in the Caribbean.

We had been out about an hour when the tuna began to hit. Mostly small, one to two pounds, but very good filleting size. We caught a couple that had been bitten in half, which is very common. There is a lot of barracuda in these waters, and we did catch a two-foot cuda as well. I am not the type person who likes to spend an entire or even half a day fishing. We set back to shore at 8:30 with a cooler full of fish. I fixed breakfast while Artley cleaned our catch. It was still early in the morning and I already had a great day.
