As I have said in other reviews Panaji has the potential to be like the Costa Del Sol but is unfortunately more aptly named the Costa Del Garbage. Most place you walk, most rivers you see and most raodsides and greenspaces are not just littered...More

The place looks like an old dutch colony, very neat and clean with old buildings. You will really enjoy moving around at the place. Avoid with children, good for shopping, have lunch at welcome heritage.

You get transported to a different era all of sudden..Nice to see the old traditional houses. Interesting to note no boundary walls between houses. Peaceful surroundings.. And across the Rue de Ourem, you can see the new buildings that lack the beauty.

There are no routes defined or any sign boards for heritage walk as I had seen in Shimla. We started walking from Bhagwan Mahavir Park passing through 18th June road, Church Square, Altinho, Hanuman Temple, Fontainhas. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore Panaji.
