A place of worship, a 450 years old church with a magnificent architecture. It is also known as st francis xavier church as it holds the mortal remains of the saint.

There are 2 churches in Old Goa opposite to each other. One is Old church & other one is new church. Both are worth visiting

Been here for the 3rd time..this time. Basilica of Bom Jesus is a world heritage site in old Goa. Great architecture and history. One of the most beautiful chapels inside and outside One of must visit in Goa.

Well worth the 10km journey to Old Goa if you find yourself in Panjim or surrounds. Spend the time to absorb the history of the early Portuguese colony.

Hi, there's no entrance charge for the church but mind the dress code - no shorts and sleeveless clothes for the guys or girls. The main Feast happens on 3 Dec every year with a 10 novena preceding it but nothing I'm aware... More
What is good time to visit the church on Sunday so that it is not overcrowded? Is 10 AM on Sunday a good time?

Avoid that time
Is it open on Friday's as well? Listing says it is but I checked Park Hyatt website - where it says it is closed on Friday. Not sure which one is correct. Can anyone confirm? Planning to visit on Dec'4th
