We hired a jeep from our hotel to go here early in the morning to see the sunrise between the mountains. The sunrise was very beautiful. After the sunrise, we also visited the tea factory which was built almost a century earlier. This is a must visit for all but I would recommend that people who get very nauseous to... More

The ride by Jeep from Suryanalle to Kolukkumalai costs about Rs 1800. Once the jeep enters the tea estate, the roads are bad. All up the hill, the roads were just bolders strewn about from the British era roads. The ride was rough...jerky. No safety issues as there were no steep drops on either side for the majority of the... More

At the world's highest Tea Estate, amazing Sunrise, where sky is under your feet, views are spectacular, what else you can expect from a tourist place. Amazing place , must visit. To reach view point you have to go through bumpy ride, very bumpy ride. We enjoyed lot.

the ride up to this place is long and EXTREMELY bumpy. the ladies in my group were warned by two separate women to wear sports bras, and given the bumpiness of the ride I can understand why. However once there the tour of the tea factory was very interesting, and the views were wonderful. It's hard to believe folks can... More

This peaceful green tea estate up in the hills is quite something to behold. Silent except for birdsong and the click of tea shears, it's a great temperate getaway with an extraordinary traditional tea factory as well.

Kolukkumalai Tea Estate is a must visit place. The most interesting part is the journey to the estate which has Breath Taking views and it's an adventurous ride. Not recommended for people with back pains as the ride is a very bumpy one (I got 20000 steps in my fitness tracker jus sitting in the jeep..so imagine how bumpy it... More
