We visited two churches in Munnar, one was the Mount Carmel Church and the CSI Church. This one definitely has most of the original fittings and fixtures. Very peaceful and quiet place. Loved the original interiors, the stained glass windows and the pulpit. Its again on a hillock but accessible by car right up to the doorstep. A beautiful and... More

We stopped to take a quick look at this church built during the time when the English controlled the region. A European look and feel in the Ghat mountains.

This CSI church is an another attraction of Munnar, as you find it between old Munnar and New Munnar. Though you find many other churches in Munnar this is unique in its construction.

The church sits on the side of a hill; we were told it was once Anglican, it's now the simplest Catholic church we've ever seen. The plaques commemorating past planters are interesting; unfortunately we were not allowed to visit the old.graveyard. Since it's a Hindu and Buddhist society, you leave your shoes at the door.
