Very famous story of ramayana is connected with this cave. It is situated in Panchvati area of nashik city. The cave is very ancient and maintended very good. Every person can go and pass from it. Panchvati name suggests total 5 banyan trees.

If you are going to go to this place thinking that this is the actual place where sita was residing then you would be in for a disappointment. The entire structure has been built quite recently, and the so called caves are completely made from plaster. The entrance has been purposefully narrowed down so that people (fools) actually believe that... More

Sita Gumpha is 2 mins walk towards left side from Kala Ram temple . There would be a small queue in this place , as to visit the deity we would need to go through a small cave , narrow way of steps is available to go down to the caves and hence it takes sometime for the queue to... More

Good place to visit. But the way inside is so narrow. You need to crawl in most places. People with above average body size will not be able to go. People with BP, Breathing problem, Heart problem, over weight, etc., avoid going inside.

The place had very small gates, where i could barely fit. People who are a bit overweight may not fit in.Also not for people who are afraid of dark small space.

It is situated in Panchavati and is said that Goddess Sita stayed in this cave during Vanvas.....its a small cave you have to go through narrow tunnel, but it's a nice experience...One should definitely visit the holy place.....
