This is part of Golden Temple compound. It is also a sacred place of Sikhs. You should definitely visit there while in Golden Temple.

I have never visited such a clean, beautiful, calm and serene holy place in India before. It was winter time. So for benefit of bare footed visitors, thick carpets were spread out so that they do not feel the cool of the marble floor.

It is available on first floor. Good View, very clean. Opposite to Harminder sahab. Everyday morning 4:30 AM & evening 10 pm, there is a ceremony to shift Guru Granth Sahab from or to Akaltakt.

Home of the "Guru Granth Saheb" - one of the most auspicious places in the Golden Temple. The Palkiji ceremony/ritual of "Guru Granth saheb" from the main temple to the "Akal Takht" is an amazing experience - a must experience for all tourists.
