The palace has been beautifully designed with few rooms decorated in false ceilings, featuring khatamband technique, a wood craft unique to Kashmir. It has a huge collection of plants and trees, some of which are rarely found elsewhere. A lively statue of the maharaja sitting...More

If you want to see a collection of dolls telling a eulogy of Maharajah Ranjit Singh without any hindsight or scientific approach, then you should enjoy this panorama. If you care about history, just don't go, it's a waste of time.

1. Panorama is designed nicely and depicts the life of maharaja ranjit singh well. 2. It doesn't seems well maintained and should be enhanced with new technologies coming in to make more interaction with visitor.

The Panorama is on the first floor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum. There is no separate ticket for Panorama. In 10 Rs, you can visit museum & Panorama. Photography is also allowed free of cost.

This gives the visitor an insight into the life and times of the people in Punjab of that period. Worth a visit if one is in the area and some time is left after Golden Temple and Wagah border visit.

Though said to be India's third largest panorama but due to lack of maintenance it is lying defunct. Visitors come and leave disappointed due to non working touch screen computer systems. Even generator is not in the working condition

The Museum alongside refreshes the history lessons. The location houses a Light and Sound show depicting the Brave Sikh wars against oppression. A definate visit if history interests you.
