Not to be confused with Vijay Stambh, Kirti Stambh is also located within the Chittorgarh Fort. Kirti Stambh also known as Tower of Fame is a 22-metre-tall tower. It is dedicated to Rishabha, the first Tirthankara of Jainism. The tower has intricate carvings and architecture. The seven storey temple is decorated by sculpture and moldings from the base to top. This was our last stop in the Chittorgarh Fort tour.

It is located in chittorgarh fort. The kirthi sthamb , "tower of Fame" is dedicated to Adinathji, the 1st Jain Tirthankara. Adorned by the figures of the Digambars (Jain monks), this seven-storied tower was built in 12th century AD. It is known for its intricate carvings and architecture. carvings on each summit are different from the other.

The Kirti Stambha, also known as the Tower of Fame is a Jain structure next to the Shri Digamber Jain Adinath Temple and just north of Suraj Pole gate on the eastern side of the Chittorgarh complex. Like the Vijay Stambh, this tower is also richly decorated on the exterior, however, you wouldn’t immediately know this was a Jain structure until you see that 2 of niches on the 2nd storey contain sculptures of Jain tirthankars.
Beautiful structure to look at, pity it’s not possible to climb up.

I visited Kirti Stambha in Chittaurgarh Fort in the mid of April 2016 with a business colleague during a trip to Asind for a colleague's wedding. Kirti Stambha was one of the last point of attraction in our itinerary provided by our tour guide at Chittaurgarh fort.
The name kirti Stambha means Pillar of Pride in english. As the name suggests, the pillar represents the glorious era of Chittaurgarh and Jainism in the kingdom. Unlike the Vijay Stambha, the Kirti Stambha was built by a Jain trader and not the King.
Unfortunately, the attraction in closed due to its depleting condition. The stairs inside the pillar is heavily damaged and cannot be used for access the floor. A recent accident has forced the authorities to close the attraction from being accessed by tourist from inside.

in one side of Chittorgarh Fort complex , a great jain architecture Kirti Stambh or Tower of Fame . Kirti Stambh is dedicated to jain tirthankar aadinath.Kirti Stambh was made of 13th centuary. This tower was made by digambar jain mahajan JIJA. After becoming ruin , kirti stambh was again renovated by Maharana Fateh Singh Ji.
This tower is 22 meter high and have beautiful figures made on it. The ground portion of tower have 30 ft of area and upper part have 15 ft of area. Lot of small images are carved on all sides of tower.
well it is a far way from main central fort area better to go by cab.

This place marks a victory of olden days. There are fine carvings all around you. There is a opening which leads you to the top. If possible, make sure you do take the leap of faith, and walk those stairs to the top. The staircase in itself is a marvel, and the view from top is breathtaking.
