Good night out (if you like this kind of thing)

Pro: Good night out, reasonable priced beer, good amount of fights and KOs. Con: Eat before you go. Fighters seem quite young. We booked this through Kuoni, our travel rep... read more

This is a true muaythai gym focusing on service, quality and good prices. Trainers are engaged, friendly and helpful.

Pro: Good night out, reasonable priced beer, good amount of fights and KOs. Con: Eat before you go. Fighters seem quite young. We booked this through Kuoni, our travel rep in Bangkok. It cost 2,000 bht per person excluding transfers (currently about £40) for a ringside seat. We heard that it's really cheap for locals, but that didn't bother us.... More

It's important for me to note that I have no frame of reference for this kind of activity, by which I mean that I've never been to another stadium to watch Muay Thai kickboxing, so I can't comment on how this stadium and its practices compare to others on offer around Thailand. But I can say that we had fun... More

The boxing started at around 9.40 and lasted for a couple of hours. Most of the fights ended in the first or second round! The majority of the fights were under 40kg so were children, but they were still really good at boxing. I'd recommend getting the standard tickets for 800 baht and not vip as the standard tickets have... More

We went to the boxing at this stadium. We didn't buy the VIP tickets and actually found that our seats were a little higher up so the view was even better than VIP. A fun evening!

After seeing the advertising loudspeaker van in Ko Lanta and realising that there was a 'fight night' on 22nd March while I was staying on the island, I decided to go along, as going to see some Thai boxing was something I'd been meaning to do during our three weeks in Thailand and hadn't got round to. As other reviewers... More

I didn´t know if it was a good idea to spend my holiday watching thaiboxing with my 12 year old daughter - but I´m glad we went. It was a great experience and so much fun watching the locals betting about the results.

You have to be a muay thai enthusiast to appreciate it. Fights were good and not fixed (though some dubious decisions). Plenty of locals present so not just an attraction. Not cheap but fighters have to travel a fair distance to appear there. Held also at another location near long beach - beside the main road. Don't know what the... More

It was really great being at a real Thai boxing event. Especially because it was not really a turist event, but for ordinary thai people. Off cause the matches started late and nothing went according to the program, but that was all part of the charm. It was a bit pricy. 800THB pr person, but it was fun.
