Here at Why Not Bar, it is the best spot for those people looking for a relaxing spot on the beach in the day time. We offer you free use of shower, beach bean bag, food, and drinks. Come enjoy before or after your day trip to a national park. Deep house music playing during sunset time. Acrostic guitar will be playing at dinner time from 7pm. Delicious BBQ seafood and local cuisine are serving on the beach by a restaurant next door. One of the best fire show performs nightly at 8.30pm. Continuing with live band playing after the fire show, so you can spend your night here at our beach bar. We have draft beer, wine by bottle and glass, cocktails waiting for you. Free popcorns and free shot for those coming hanging with us inside the bar.

Sitting here now. Brilliant staff, lovely food (better than 5* Pimalai we're staying in) and would love to come back. Chicken satay and club sandwich were really good. Wine and beer at a reasonable price too

Bloody terrific
This place doesn’t need a review but nevertheless I thought why not give one. First time back since our wedding in 2012 where we left the Pimalai (grossly expensive place up the beach) around 10pm and walked to where the true party was happening at the why not bar with great live music and great vibes. 11 years on…..visiting with children was a little different but it’s the same old same old excellent vibe, service, beautiful beach, excellent cocktails (mojitos) along with nightly fire show and live music which was the best we have experienced in our 12 week holiday in Thailand. The food coming out of the resort was pretty good also. Forgot to mention reasonable prices for both premises. Well done why not

Great place for drinks and dinner
We visited at lunchtime and evening. Great spot on the beach. Good service with well priced drinks and cocktails. Good food and nice atmosphere on the evening with the fire show. Definitely worth a visit.

The bar is very popular as it is on the beach by Kantiang Bay. It has outdoor seating on the beach and indoor seating. It hosts a daily fire show on The beach at 8.30pm every evening , which is very popular with visitors. In inclement weather , the fire showed gets cancelled. A nice spot to grab a drink and watch the sunset.

Incredible food, service and landscape. It' very welcoming and cozy. Every night they do a fire show and then play great live music, you can even sing with the musicians if you'de like. Thank you for everything, especially Pete, the owner of the bar, for his friendly and kind attention.

Fabulous Atmosphere

Spent pretty much every night of our time in Koh Lanta at the Why Not Bar. Great atmosphere, good food and the friendliest service ever!
The singer/band that play every night are great and were happy to take requests. Love those guys!!
The fire show is worth watching, a real showstopper. Wahwah you’re a total hero!!
Can’t wait to see them all again next year!

The best bar on the island

A great fun beach bar, sometimes with a live band, fire show... board games that often connect people...
For me personally, after 15 years of Koh Lanta in the most beautiful bay on the island.
A nice bonus: ample parking for your moped and you can consume the food from the restaurant next door in the bar.
Above all, the people there are "always" extremely friendly & helpful, even in the low season when there are hardly any people and they stay there from morning to evening. Respect!!!
These people live for the bar…

I read an angry reaction because slippers cannot be worn on the wonderful platform full of cushions and carpet😅, instead of thanking these people for keeping this space so clean so that one person does not have to sit in the other's dirt. Finally, the platform is in the sand and there is even a water tap to rinse your feet ❤️.

The bar is always open! High and low season.
Well organised, very nice people.

Cool place with incredibly bad service.

Hot fun place to hang out but boring staff with bad attitude and lack of interest. Repetitive with the same live band singing the same songs and fire show every night performed by children. If the beach hadn't had a shortage of other bars, this one probably wouldn't have been so packed with tourists.

Aggressive staff to be avoided

Come back to krabi/ and revisited this bar. There was a very aggressive male staff. Food never came after more than 1 hour+ waiting. We were starving, so paid for the drinks and decided to go. That aggressive man in ponytail rushed in front of us and yelled at us. He almost grabbed my friend clothes Said he needed us to pay the food that never came. He was very rude and so ridiculous and crazy. Two ladies (staff from the bar) tried to calm him down. Absolutely terrifying almost ruined our first night here in koh lanta. Nonetheless we definitely won't visit again.

Great little chill spot

Great spot on the beach for sun downers. Live Dj at sundown hour, live singer the rest of the time - both greats Really nice bar. Good service - lots of choice beer, wine and good cocktails. Defo worth hanging out here if your in the area
