Koh Jum is probably one of the few peaceful islands in Thailand where you can still be completely alone on the beach at times. Let's hope they keep it that way. The west side has the beach and about 25 resorts for visitors. There is...More

If you need a break from the more turisty places, this is the island to go to. The beaches are quiet and secluded, with several laid back bars along the way. We stayed in the bungalows on the beach that were separated from the main...More

Have visited this island twice. It can be seen easily from the ferry which is what attracted us to the place. Really relaxed and lovely beaches. Mixed standard accommodation available and some lovely restaurants.

How long until this place is turned into the next Lanta, the next Phuket? I give it 10 or 15 years. The road isn't great in the North of the island, but there were already diggers there making progress on paving it. The fundamentals are...More

This was our fist call in Thailand this year and a new island to try. The island is very small with great beaches, the small village has a supermarket and a couple of shops. If you are looking for a getaway then this is the...More

Very sleepy little island. Many return year after year and for good reason. A place to unwind and unplug. Very tiny town where one can find food, basics (beer, snacks, replenishments, etc), a couple shops carrying the typical touristy items, and visit with the locals....More

Okay for stopping off and adding another island to the list. Probably not one you would return to but it's perfectly fine for a couple of nights to explore. Beach is so so but perfectly spotless but doesn't have the wow factor and not the...More

Maybe, since it’s high season, but I think you’ll be able to find a place even if you don’t. It’s not very touristy.

Hello, we are in Koh Lanta at the moment and it’s beautiful! You will love it here! You must bring enough cash with you as a lot of places don’t accept card, unless you are dining in a resort.
