Overview
More
Lanta Old Town is a small village on Ko Lanta's East Coast in Krabi Province. Many years ago, Ko Lanta's Old Town acted as the port and commercial center for the island and provided safe harbor for Arabic and Chinese trading vessels sailing between the larger ports of Phuket, Penang and Singapore. Today, Old Town is the district capital; it has a post office, police station, Buddhist temple, Chinese temple and the island's hospital as well as a long pier.

We loved Ko Lanta Old Town, the restaurants hang out over the sea, there are lots of lovely shops, some of the best we came across on the island. Very helpful and friendly people, definitely worth a stop.

Nice views out the back of the restaurants, unfortunately we saw flies landing on the food so didn’t stay to eat. Shops are full of the same stuff you find anywhere else.

Took a short trip to Lanta Old Town and to be honest our expectations were rather low. Ko Lanta in low season seems to be very quiet with many places closed so we thought we would check out old town for half an hour just...More

A nice jetty to sea the islands dotted around and some lovely looking restaurants. It’s a small strip with shops which are competitively priced. A nice morning or afternoon whilst on Lanta.

Since we travelled to Koh Lanta in the low season there is not really a lot to do. Most of the Restaurants are also closed and the same applies to Stores. Also what you have to know is that the ferry back to PhiPhi does...More

We stayed here two nights in the green season, which was just right for browsing the local sights and shops, and taking a tour of the nearby islands. Great opportunity to get away from the more touristy areas of the island. Many of the locals...More

very small, but all the old shops that go out over the water are great, lots of shopping options and restaurants aplenty. Well worth a visit

Lovely little area, quaint feel to it, friendly and good vibes. Good prices on goods, good selection of restaurants as well. Scenic drive with the family ❤️

Best way is to rent a car or scooter, it was really cheap. But it is possible to get a taxi. Your hotel will definitely help you with thay information.
