Had a fantastic experience. I came for the Open Water Course at first, but enjoyed it so much that I decided to extend my stay and complete the Advanced Open Water course as well. Everything was well organized and the whole team was very friendly and helpful. The instructors are fantastic. Very professional, friendly and the instructors Ruta (OWC), Chris and Josi(AOW) made me feel safe and good taken care of. Totally recommend Ocean Sound.

We did our Open Water Diver and two additional dives at Oceansound diving school and we really enjoyed it! Our amazing instructor Josi explained everything so good and answered all our questions with a lot of patience and knowledge. She gave us a super safe feeling during our dives. All in all we are so happy that we could experience this fascinating new world and are looking forward to coming back one day! ☺️(Hopefully you keep your promise and get Josi some ice cream, Will 😄)

My wife and I recently completed our PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water with Ocean Sound. While intense (9 dives over 4 days not including initial pool day to learn the basics), it was always interesting and everything was done in a progressive manner. Our instructor, Ruta, was fantastic at understanding how we were absorbing knowledge. She was very patient throughout ensuring we enjoyed our dives in a safe manner and helped us build confidence at pace.
Highly recommend this place for anyone e interested in learning to dive. The team were friendly and supportive and we got to experience some really cool dives at great locations.

I completed the SSI open water certification with Ocean Sound and highly recommended their team. I have my PADI but had not dived in 10 years so went in store for a chat and was impressed by Sam's experience as a diver and her having been in living in Koh Tao for eight years so decided to join the full course rather than a refresher, which was the right decision. Our group of 4 students spent three days with Sam, and she's a great tutor. Very patient with new divers, and we all passed and had lots of fun. I enjoyed my diving with OS so much that I extended my stay for another three days and did another two dives. I then moved hotel so did another dive day with another company and their equipment was very old, worn out, and frankly unsafe compared to the top quality I had enjoyed with OS, so paying a little more to dive with the team at Ocean Sound ensures you are in the best hands to have the best dive experience in Koh Tao.

We have amazing experience learning scuba diving and getting our open water certification with Ruta! She explained everything very clearly and put lots of emphasis on safety.
As soon as we got our open water certification, we went for night dive with Anesto! He is also an incredible instructor.
If you’re interested in learning scuba, look no further! We highly recommend Ocean Sound!

After a rocky start to diving, I came to Ocean Sound wanting to give it another go. Anxiously, I booked to do a try dive and I’m so glad I did! Jesper (the owner) was friendly and reassuring from the moment we first stepped into the shop and Sam (our dive instructor) was so patient and calm, but a lot of fun. The two dives were absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this place to everyone, but especially if you really want to give diving a go but are pretty nervous about doing so!!

Amazing dive school! Ruta helped us get over my fear of night dives and my husbands fear of deep dives! We had a lot of fun and became advanced certified at the same time. Ruta explained everything really well, and made it all seem easy. Highly recommend this dive school whether you are a beginner or very advanced!!

I wrote this on Google but wanted to also share here - my partner and I had the most incredible experience diving with Cote at Ocean Sound!! We were both quite nervous about diving beforehand, but Cote made us feel extremely comfortable and excited about diving. He was patient, kind, smart, supportive and fun, and brought all of that to the open water diving course. The open water dives were incredible, so much amazing coral & fish, and by the time we were in the open ocean, we felt so comfortable and ready to dive thanks to Cote. 100/10, would reccomend, and were already hoping to do our advanced course next time with Ocean Sound. Will and Sam were also very kind and supportive too, and we loved how it felt like a community every time we went into the OS building. Thank you a million & really hoping to do it again!!

I'm interested in introducing my 3 children to scuba diving and planning a trip to Thailand in the fall. My youngest child is 9 and not a great swimmer. The cost for a fun dive trip is 2000 baht. This includes 2 dives, dive guide, all the equipment, dive computer and also breakfast on morning trips.

Hi,
I am in Cambodia and am considering going to Koh Tao in a few days time to get my Padi.
I have checked the weather and it looks like a lot of rain and cloudy weather. Can you tell me honestly if it is a bad idea to do the diving in that weather? I don’t want to spend money on flights to get there and also on the course if it’s not ideal conditions.
I appreciate your honesty on this because I have heard good things about your company and was given a recommendation from a friend.

I found some school will offer some online course for the theory preparation and finish the poor and open water training in Koh Tao in three days. Do your school offer this kind combination?

Can I see whale sharks by snorkelling, or do I need to get scuba certified and dive to see them? I'm not sure how deep they swim. Thanks!

Hello Michael, in order to have a chance to see a Whale Shark, you will need to learn how to dive. They prefer offshore pinnacles around Koh Tao. We do have them year round, but you need some good luck to be able to see them. Send us an email if you would like to make an inquiry. Cheers! The OS Team
