Free diving at Big Blue was incredible!! I learnt so much and pushed my body further than I thought it could go! Free diving is so much fun and such a great achievement! I'll definitely keep practicing to be as good as Rakel and Fran - both really knowledgeable and professional teachers and really kind and supportive! Free diving is... More

I was going to go to one of the other freediving schools but glad I opted for big Blue. The group for the course was small (max 4) and Rakel the instructor is a passionate professional who really helps you on a personal basis to improve confidence in the water aswell as pushing your physical limits. Whats more, whenever you... More

This will be a slightly different review then most but I would still like to at least give a glowing recommendation for big blue freediving. I did the 2-day beginner course. Day 1 you learn about human fysiology, breathing techniques and what makes freediving work. After that you go into the pool to practice what you've learned. Rakel is a... More

After I finished my open water I wanted to experience the deep in a more peaceful and natural way. I had always been drawn to freediving and an instructor at my dive school recommended Big Blue purely because or Rakel, a fantastic instructor who had me by the end of day 1 on a 3:15 static breath hold in the... Rakel was a really good instructor and took her time to help me improve my kicking technique at the end of the first day. I managed to hold my breath for just under 3 minutes and on the second day freedived down to 20 metres. So much fun and as you're in a small group you get lots of individual... More

I decided to try freediving whilst I was here and I'm so glad I did it at big blue. Rakel is amazing and makes you feel really comfortable and confident regardless of how well you do. I would highly recommend it :)

i have been obsessed with freediving the last few months, the sport itself has been amazing but a lot to be desired with my previous trainers. i came to big blue with very little expectations - but rakel not only surpassed that, she went above and beyond! i smashed my static personal best with her help and patience. while i... I came to Koh Tao for ssi level 2 course and diving with big blue was excellent experience. My tutor is Rakel, she is very helpful and kind. Everyday we started from stretching and I enjoyed every minute underwater. Big Blue Freediving has all the equipment for free diver and it is almost new. Thanks for everything, highly recommended!!

I had the pleasure of completing my SSI freediving courses 1 & 2 with both instructors of Big Blue Freediving and I'm extremely happy. Besides both instructors being so positive and happy and love to tell you all about the sport of freediving, I really enjoyed being taught in small groups never bigger than 4 students. If you're looking for... More

I decided to do the freediving level 1 after completing my scuba-diving course, also at Big Blue Diving. Pilo was my teacher and she made the course both fun and interesting. Her coaching also helped a great deal. Going down 20m under the surface with one breath is an indescribable feeling. The course at Big Blue Freediving is something I... More
