The beach is quite busy but definitely worth visiting for a few hours to chill. I'd recommend to hire a private long-tail boat to get there. The snorkling is ok though not amazing. I'd also recommend to go to the viewpoint, even if it's a bit of climb, breathtaking views!

Had a 2 hour stop here on a snorkeling trip. The small pier is completely congested so it took 20 minutes for our boat to dock. The island is completely overloaded with people. The water was OK for swimming but there is no snorkeling. Long line waiting to get to the view point on the top of the island so... More

Amazing island but you have to pay to get on. But still worth to travel there on the boat from Koh Tao.

My boyfriend and I did a day trip. Was disappointed with the arrangement through the company and not enough time rationed to here. Waste an hour snorkelling on a small, overcrowded beach. The view was just as it looks in all the photos you see, stunning! Wasn't too crowded but did expect less people. Water was clear and warm! Pretty... More

SAD. That's the best I can describe our snorkeling trip to Koh Nag Yuan. If you want to call it that once you've waded through the people. The reef is dead. The once garden is now a pile of dead Staghorn bones. Why? It could have been a storm, but more likely the inexperienced or unconcerned semi and none swimmers... More

I planned my entire trip around visiting Koh Tao & Koh Nang Yuan on my birthday. Unfortunately, with my fear of heights, I didn't make it up the top to see the view, but my mom captured a beautiful pic. We did our excursion with Travstore Tours. The staff were incredibly friendly and especially helpful in keeping us light hearted... More

If you're in Koh Tao for the first time you may gaze across the water like many before you and think, "gee, that island looks like a great place to go." Take my advice; don't bother. Koh Nang Yuan is stuffed with tourists from all over the place--mostly direct from Koh Samui it seemed--and while the snorkeling is ok there... More

I've been there a couple of days ago. It's a really nice island and also very clean. Unfortunately there are to many tourist on my opinion. I would raise the price (now it's 100 Baht for the entry) for the entry so it won't be that crowded. And you also have to go to the viewpoint. It's worth it!

Twenty years ago this was one of the most stunning snorkelling sites in the world. Now it is a graveyard of broken coral. The island itself is still lovely, but it is only open to visitors from 10-5 and during that time it is PACKED. Very sad. It's shocking how quickly we can turn paradise into hell.

been there 5 years ago was still paradise but on my last trip 2 days ago I find the island loaded of Chinese tourist making more noise than the sea waves, the beach was dirty, the coral all around are just destroy by the massive group of tourist that are visiting the island, staff that are standing at the pier...
