Very few history museums keep me interested for more than an hour, but this is one of them. Spanning hundreds of years you got a real sense for the history of the city, all the difficulties the people endured, how they fared during different occupations...More

Free admission, small museum, many old photos of the Vietnam war, reflecting the US military operations in the Mekong Delta. Small boats used to patrol the small but numerous waterways in the Delta. Few of the exhibits have English translation. Museum contains many old objects...More

Currently including a special exhibition being 50 years from the TET offensive in 1968 this museum is an interesting peek into the 20c history of the delta. Some but not all captions are in English.

The museum tells the story of some of the things that went on in this province during the Vietnam war. There are many old objects of life in the Mekong Delta.

A very modern museum with a great deal of helpful English signage. Tells the history of the Mekong Delta's people through their many wars and conflicts. Also nice history of local ethnic groups, costumes, work and artifacts. Don't Miss It if down in Can Tho.

The museum is free, convenient if you're in central Can Tho, and moderately interesting. There are amusing dioramas and some artifacts, professionally oresented. Nothing outstanding, nothing that you can't miss. Best items are the photos of Can Tho in 1900 and 1920.
