The way from Tam Coc to Phat Diem by motobike takes quite a while (1h), but it's totally worth it!! We enjoyed walking through the cathedral's area... many little chapels. It's a quiet place, only with some people visiting. Nearby we found a cute coffeeshop...More

The architecture is amazing (mix of western and eastern). This site is the capital of catholicism in Vietnam. The space is very open and there’s a nice garden with statues.

The whole complex has an air of neglect. However the mass was nice. Fortunately I am Roman Catholic so even if the service was in Vietnamese, I enjoyed it. Lots of people though - very noisy. The stone temple was rather neglected.

Because we stay near Tam Coc, so it's really far to come here. Nevertheless, it would be wonderful to visit and study about memorable historical period of Catholic in Vietnam. This place is not big, not taking much time to go around, but with the...More

It's a historical and religious place, that is not commercialized. There are several cathedrals in one place and all are well-maintained.
