Whether this is described as a fishing village or a floating village - it's neither. Pleasant enough boat ride with not much to see.

We visited the harbour and "floating city" with a two day tour but in our oppinion they can skip this part! The town is not floating its just surrounded by water. Just normal vietnam houses and nothing special to see, it smells like industry, the water is dirty. The hot mineral-Springs were a joke it was an ugly and messy... More

This is not a floating village. I wonder what it really is. We have probably seen 2 or 3 boating families, further concrete and major civil works

Did a private Ninh Binh - Ha Long Bay tour in Vietnam, and this hot spring was one of our stop. The rooms here were quite good - the amenities looked like that they were renovated recently. We had private hot-spring bathing area here, and it was quite relaxing. The only minus thing was if only they put more effort on... More

Kenh ga is new place for tourist. there are no much things to see here. you will go thourgh Kenh ga by boat. See the local life beside the way. If you stay in Ninh binh more than 2 days, you can visit here. Not a must see , just an experience

We enjoyed a cruise on an old river barge at Kenh ga. It was fantastic motoring though the villages and lives of the people and also into the upper reaches. Again, the scenery and rock formations were amazing. The swim at the island was refreshing afterwards.

Kenh Ga is supposed to be a floating village, but nowadays everyone lives in houses. People were rude and asked for money all the time.

Some of my best photos were taken in the late afternoon as I headed for the floating village in a (noisy) motor boat. I would have preferred the more peaceful rowing, but it would take much longer. Photos of ladies fishing, water buffalo, house boats, quaint village, rice fields with the karsts in the background. Very pleasant and no other... More

The experience of traveling by boat through the canal, among the rice paddies, was a fun experience. As was seeing the locals fishing from their small boats, rowing with their feet. The surrounding area is beautiful, but you need to take it with a grain of salt. This country is in the long, slow process of industrializing itself, but much... More

Ninh Binh is this sleepy town's transformation into a major travel hub in recent years has little to do with Ninh Binh itself.Although it is just about possible to visit some of these sights as a day trip from Ha Noi, many travellers sensibly prefer to overnight in Ninh Binh or the national park to absorb the atmosphere at a...
