Hiked up Mt Batur with my friends and our guide, Lanang. It was a challenging climb, especially with the distance, the steepness and the rocks, but I wouldn't call it very difficult to climb. You'll get to the top before you have a chance to feel very tired. The view at the top though makes it all worth it.

Mount Batur, viewed from Kintimani over lunch, is a majestic view, & well worth the drive. Potography an sun rise or sundown would be a blast.

Booked a tour from Ubud, and after reading some reviews I understand that it is essential to have a guide. Not because it is a difficult hike, but it appears to be rather unpopular with the locals to hike by yourself. Having said that, we were among the first to arrive at the base, and as it was a private... More

Rose from my bed at 3.00am to climb a mountain for a fantastic sunrise. On the day that we were there, you could see Lombok from the top. Gave such a strange feeling, looking over the clouds. Beautiful. This activity was part of our tour. We had three mountain guides to help us get up the mountain in the dark... More

Made the hike to the top and it wasn't really that hard. The view at the top is 100% worth it but it's cold so I wish I had a jacket or something. The walk down is annoying because you have to take your time and be careful not to slip. The monkeys were a nice added bonus to the... More

Yes, it was a bit of a challenge. But I wouldn't exchange the experience for anything. Extraordinary views. Such a feeling of accomplishment once you reach the top. And, hey! When will you ever get to eat a volcano cooked egg again?

I have been living in Bali for 3 months now and this was by far my favourite trip. The guides were super friendly and I loved the trip. The hike up takes only 1 1/2 hours (including water stops) To Be up for ☀️rise U should be at the parking around 4am. We didn't stay near the mountain we drove... More
