Difficult to reach by car by google maps becasue it will make you pass through a very bad road.

It has been the surprise in Nakuru. I strongly advice to hire the guide because without one you will spend 5 minutes in the museum and enjoy nothing at all.
There is the history of the place, the animals and trail that leads you a romantic and breathtaking view of the area.

Very pleasant experience!

A must visit place, if you are in Nakuru. We get an amazing view of the lake and the wild life from the top. Tourist has to be cautious of the baboons, which don't hesitate attacking the humans, if they get to know of food. Some of the Baboons had even entered our vehicle to sntch the bag of food.

The Hyrax hill museum exhibition was great, well worth the entrance fee. The Museum is free otherwise and is worth a visit.

I do not like Museums! But, I have visited this one on 3 occasions. It's small, interesting, and has a very hospitable Staff.
I've taken Students, grade 3 - 6, and they've enjoyed. I've taken Secondary Students, and they've enjoyed.
The setting is tranquil, and the pace of the Tour is comfortable. They also give Visitors the option meandering around the Grounds.
Anyone interested in dendrology or xylology could really enhance this site. Most, 98%, of the plant life here is unidentified.

great place to stop for lunch or getting out and stretching the legs. The Rock hyrax's can help pass the time, as can the views of the lake. In peak season, the entire lake boundary has a solid pink border around it - courtesy of the some 2 million flamingoes that regularly gather at this lake.

The view at the top of the hill is sublime. You get to see Nakuru in its entirety and the lake too. The guide was nice too.

During our last game drive at Lake Nakuru we visited Hyrax Hill. This was the first time I had ever heard of an animal such as the Rock Hyrax and got to see a few of them. We went to the top of the hill which had fantastic views over the lake. Did you know that that Lake Nakuru National Park is 180sq km of which the lake alone is 50sq km? Lots of baboons on the hill at the viewpoint which also has a 100m trail (which I did not go down). Clean toilets also were there for use on the hill. Great photo opportunity as well. Was very impressed with the Rock Hyrax that looks like a large rodent....sure footed and delightful to see them run around the steep edges of the cliff. Worth a visit when at the national park.
