Lake Nakuru may lack elephants but lacks nothing else. Loved it and saw everything but a leopard. The lake simply oozes life and the animals are so close to you. We have done other safaris in Kruger in South Africa and this park in some...More

We visited Lake Nakuru for a day to hopefully see the flamingos but were disappointed to hear that the vast number of flamingos have disappeared due to the rising water levels of the lake. However do not let this put you off as there is...More

The animals were out in full force after the heavy rain. There were so many different birds to see and a large group of white rhinos by the Lake. Lots of different types of antelope and a huge herd of zebras with quite a few...More

This game safari wasn’t my favorite. It did allow us to see the white rhino. The flamingos are not as plentiful due to the PH alkaline change in the water. We did not stay long on our Gate 1 tour.

We were informed by our guide (upon arrival) that landscape has changed considerably in the past 5 years. There are very few flamingos and rhinos left, some areas have flooded, and the animal population is controlled and limited (in comparison to safari). If you are...More

Lake Nakuru is a unique park with almost all animals found in Masai Mara except the elephants which are replaced by the white rhinos. You can have a day tour to this unique park.

We had a great experience in this park, managed to spot both black & white rhinos, the “Baboon Cliff” what a view? A huge population of baboons & pink flamingos! Truly worth the visit!

If you are looking for Flamingos I suggest you skip Lake Nakuru and instead visit Lake Bogoria. Rothschild Giraffe, Black and White Rhinos, Lions, Leopard and other plains game are easily spotted at Lake Nakuru.

Best place to see lake is from Baboon Cliff viewpoint and clearly signed. No boating though on this lake!
