We went exploring in our own vehicle, having entered the park through the northern gate, staying at the Ithumba Lodge. The drive from Nairobi took about 6 hrs, over sometimes difficult 'roads' but the journey was worth it. The purpose of our trip was to visit the David Sheldrick elephant reintegration unit, for orphaned elephants in the final stage for... More

I like Tsavo East, it is a great park with a huge variety of animals. This is my 4th visit and in 23 hours, we saw 23 different species of animal, not including the spectacular variety of bird life. My only negative is that it is possible to drive for miles without seeing anything due to it's vastness. However, the... More

We had a great time in these reserves, Saw all the animals in there own environment. It was Magic, The only let down, if it can be called that was that was that we couldn't find the Rhino. Would definitely go back.

Enjoy the beautiful African nature and spot different animals in their natural habitat. Not the high amount of animals you would see in Amboseli but definitely worth it!

We had an amazing trip to Tsavo East. We saw so much - lions mating, numerous herds of elephants browsing, eland, oryx, waterbuck, Thomson's gazelle, hippos, crocodiles. It's a must do. A guide will help you to find the lions and perhaps other big cats but it's also nice to self drive and see whatever come to you.

Wonderful place where we'd saw lots of wild animals around every corner. The baby leopard was resting but we could spot the mother hiding in the tress. She was so well camouflaged

We didn't have the time to go to Masai Mara so opted for the cheaper and smaller scale option of Tsavo East. We were told by rogue excursion sellers that Tsavo East had no animals and Tsavo West was best, this wasn't true. Even when East was dry it had all the animals we wanted to see. So many lions... It is marvelous park, althougt less green then Amboseli, considering that the climate is very dry. It was sad to see all those empty waterholes and animals searchig for water. I realy cannot understand why goverment doesn't do something to provide water and fillfull waterholes for all those poor animals who do die because of lack of water!. Nature is... More
