I loved that place , make me think of the way they lived before and the glory of that period , the beautiful building and engineering , only 3000 lira per person , great place to visit

The Bekaa Valley was somewhere I had always wanted to visit. The original land of milk and honey, it is chock full of ancient ruins to visit, vineyards and orchards, and some great restaurants. A vital part of any Lebanon trip.

The Bekaa Valley in Central Lebanon is one place to visit any season of the year as it is one of the most unique and beautiful parts of Lebanon. It is a refreshing trip, gives you more insight of different parts of Lebanon. A relatively short trip inland and all the scene changes- a lovely landscapes to view and different... More

We stopped in at Anjar on our way back to Beirut From Baalbeck. Worth the stopover if you have a guide with you who can give you the background history to the place. Only 6000 LL for a half hour visit. There is a little shop outside the entrance for water or snacks.

We hired a hotel driver for the day to take us to Bekaa, stopped along the way into cafes and candy stores. The snow capped mountains called "Anti-Lebanon Mountains" (true name) in the dead of summer was a contrast.
