Every North African town has a kasbah, a traditional administrative building made from mud and straw. This one, nestled against the High Atlas Mountains, is among the most impressive of its kind.

If you're visiting Morocco then this place is a must see. In my opinion, the best parts of Morocco are seen when you leave Marrakech, and this place is one of them. The long drive is definitely worth it. Similar to Marrakech and other tourist...More

Loved this place. Recommend going up in the morning for sunrise or evening for sunset. During the day it is very hot with little or no shade. But breathtaking

The view from the modern town across the river is pretty spectacular. The walk to the top is pretty easy and in august is best done for sunrise or sunset due to the temperature. There is a nice panorama from the top, there is no...More

Don't forget to pass by this spectacular Ksar. I consciously say 'Must see' and not 'Must do', since I find the view on the Ksar from the river very spectacular. It's much better than the experience of walking through the narrow streets or the view...More

The Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou is an ighrem (fortified village), along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. There are several people still living here. It is located in the foothills on the southern slopes of the High Atlas Mountains. Many movie films have...More

This is what the books and the movies were about. Our guide from Morocco Private Excursion brought us to this unique place. It was walking into the past the mud bricks, the vendors in their small rooms with their items you get a feel when...More

There aren't a lot of options for food, accommodation or activities in the town in my opinion, so since you have a car I'd recommend a day trip to visit the site. The climb to the top isn't very difficult/long for someone of... More
