Buy a tagine on your way up the hike. It is long and you will need a break for a some warm tagine. There are drinks and food available all the way to the very top. Also this is a great place to get a deal on a traditional blanket wrap.

The trails are not well marked. Took us a while to find the correct trail, as we were trying to rid ourselves of someone trying to "guide" for us so we would pay him. Finally a nice local simply pointed it out to us and we stopped getting followed by the other one. After that, it was a fairly easy... More

Even in January we experienced what would be spring flowers in our home town while walking to the first waterfall. The walk was relatively easy (with just a few challenging steps up). It was peaceful and the views were beautiful. None of the cafes were open except the new one at the parking area. We opted to go back to... More

It was pleasant walk here and I nearly bought a rug on the way. It was nice to have a coffee and not too much hassle here I could walk women alone to the church at the top without anything awful happening...it was pleasant. The top was great and the view. The waterfall is sadly littered on the left side... More

My friend and I were lucky enough to have met old-mate's Jamal and Ana on a Sahara tour from Marrakech. Their generosity and hospitality filled our hearts with joy as they showed us Morocco's rural charm 30 minutes outside of Chefchaouen. We stayed for one night amidst these mountains walking up and down the river, taking in the view; Jamal's... More

A beautiful natural reserve where you can hike for a day and enjoy the amazing natural view of the forest, the river and the waterfalls. I would recommand to take your food since the food choice is very limited, you can drink something there

Definitely need to make a day out of it to get there - and wear very good shoes as some points are very steep and gravelly, or slippery stepping stones - but would return, very enjoyable.

We drove to the Cascades on our way to Chefchaouen. For some reason we were under the impression that the hike was about 2 hours round trip (probably a misreading of the reviews) but it's actually about 2 hours each way. The trail we took is a bit strenuous, has a lot of up and down, coming and going from... More

This place is a paradise hidden in the mountains. Green water, unforgettable perfume and very friendly local people. There are several shops selling food and drinks even along the trails. There is no way to this ride go wrong. Trails level 2: some parts can be difficult for older people without a guide.
