Merzouga isn't an interesting place at all, but the nearby desert is fantastic for those who have never seen one. However, if you have seen Namibian desert and dunes for example, the Merzouga one looks rather like the poor demo version. There are plenty of possibilities in the town to hire a guide with or without a driver, camels and... More

Loved the unbelievable beauty of the sand dunes and the surprisingly luxurious accommodations at the base of the desert! Though the day we left it was windy and it would be tough in bad weather with not much to do.

A holiday experience I will never forget. The first time I rode a camel! Feeling so excited along with three of my female friends. Spend the night in the desert, delicious dinner by chef Said, enjoyed music from drums, singing Berber songs from Hassan, Mohamed and Mobarak. They are all nice and friendly. I loved to see the dark sky... More

Best place in Morocco. The size and scope is unreal. Being in the middle of what seems to be an unending desert is awe inspiring.

Merzouga is a small village at the feet of Sahara's dunes. You get there by tar road and you have a wide range of hotels and desert camps offers to be able to enjoy the desert in a comfortable way. The sand has little crystals in it that reflects the sunshine, resulting in a variety of colors shades changing along... More

Ride a camel into the dunes and watch the sun go down and the colours change gradually. Normally a 4 hour trip which makes for a magical experience.

the views are beautiful and the night at beduine tents a real experience. Although big, this is not a all sand desert - a lot is what they call black desert, from vulcanic rock, which makes driving a lot easier. The dunes are some 60km long, thou, so you get enough of it. Because the mountains at the Algeria border... More
