If you have been to Ait Ben Haddou and/or seen the Kasbahs in Agdz then this Kasbah will be pretty underwhelming. There are better Kasbahs to visit in the area. If this is your only chance to see a Kasbah then go for it. The...More

This is the only historic building in Ouarzazate (pron. 'Waar-za-zat'), apart from the remains of the Berber village next to it, and is the largest Kasbah in North Africa. It's been undergoing restoration using traditional methods and materials since 1994, and still only a small...More

Right now it’s under renovation so not all the rooms are open to the public. The ones that are are interesting, with no furniture inside; seeing the first wives apartment, dining room, reception area, kitchen, etc. The area for the concubines was closed off. It’s...More

This kasbah is a must see if you are in Ouarzazate. We took a guide as it was the first time we visited a kasbah. Without guide it would’t be that good as you will not understand the different rooms etc

We stopped here as part of a tour. The guide we had spent far too long telling us information we could easily look up elsewhere and not enough time showing us around. We only got to see a few uninspiring rooms and didn't get to...More

A fun way for our family and friends to spend a few hours. The Kasbah has quite a history so I would suggest using a tour guide. The information from the guide was crucial for understanding the rooms and the layout of the Kasbah. Incredible...More

The Kasbah itself is quite large although only a smaller section is restored and accessible to the public. Architecture is similar to that of other Kasbahs with a maze of large and smaller rooms. You can get a guide at the entrance if you are...More
