I didn't want to go, but went and was enthralled. A young man with great English gave us a history, geology and archaeology lesson. Do yourself a favour and spend an hour here!

A few kilometers on the road to Merzouga from Rissani you can find a new fossile "gallery" with a T-rex and other dinosaur skeletons in full view. Worth a stop, especially with kids. Please fix the name of the venue if I got it wrong.
