Beautiful landscapes - crowned by a two-night stay in the desert
Mar. 2020
We took a five day tour from Marrakech crossing the Atlas Mountains, Dades Gorge and Draa Valley on our way into the desert. After a two-night stay in Ali's camp in the desert, we drove to Taghazout (near Agadir) via Taroudant (ending the tour in Taghazout was by our request, since we had booked a hotel there).

Helena, who helped us pick/tailor a suitable route for the trip, was very friendly and forthcoming and always available in case of requests/questions - via phone and email.

We traveled in a group of three - my mother and I and a solo-traveler that joined us, this way the trip was even more fun and sociable and we were all able to save a bit of money, as the price per person decreased. If you like meeting new people while traveling, I recommend the option to have other people booked on your trip if it's suitable for them!

The landscape on our route was breathtaking! Ali's car is really spacious and comfortable and he was always eager to help and meet our wishes regarding stops, food, viewpoints, photo opportunities etc. Our stay in the desert was the best part of the tour - all of the nomads working in Ali's desert camp were very friendly and keen on making our stay fabulous. The camp's facilities are high-end and there is even Wifi for those who want to stay connected. Highly recommend the trekking trip on camels that includes a lunch in the desert with special bread that is baked in the sand :)

After the trip ended, our return flight to Germany got cancelled because of the corona crisis. We still had some nights booked in our hotel but for some days, it was not clear how we would be able to return home. Ali and Helena stayed in contact with us throughout these days and very kindly offered their help - even when there was not much that could be done, they checked on how we were doing and offered some kind words and tips.

Amazing Desert Experience!
Oct. 2019 • Friends
Hello,
Last week with our friends we had an unforgettable trip to Erg Chigaga in Sahara. From the beginning of our communication with Helena, we knew that everything would had gone perfect. She responded our question very fast and she was very helpful for each step. We started our journey very early morning with our guide Lassan who is a such a positive, friendly, kind and helpful person. It couldnt be better without him. Journey to Erg Chigaga was long but our car was very comfortable for 5 people and we stopped in several nice points for photo, delicious mint tea or shopping. The desert camp was quite good, friendly people were welcomed us. The atmosphere was very romantic with candles and fire in the middle of desert. The dinner and breakfast were tasty enough. Sunrise ride with camels were breathtaking and sandboarding was such a joyful activity for us.

thanks for all and hoping to see you soon!

Magical memories for everyone!
Sep. 2018 • Friends
It was our first time visiting Morocco and first time spending a night in the desert. Absolutely stunning. I definitely recommend to everyone!! The desert tour was easily the highlight of an already fantastic journey in Morocco. We were short on time but still wanted to do a 3d desert tour in 2 days. Ali was kindly able to accommodate us and took us on easily one of the most memorable journeys of our lives. We stopped for meals, carpets, date palms, local argan oil, scenic breathtaking views, and wherever else we wanted to stop. Ali was very friendly, pleasant, patient, and inviting; treating us like friends rather than simply tourists. For Ali, giving tours of the land is not a job; it's clearly a passion. And he shared his love for the desert and gave us a glimpse of the intriguing life of a nomad. The Sahara Feeling desert camp is charming and magical; with its glowing Moroccan lamps shining in the tranquil desert night, its traditional tents nestled in a small area, its remarkably delicious and plentiful food, its excellent staff who look after everything by day then play music and sing by night. Not to mention the adorable quirky dromedaries (which we learned, are different from camels!) that will carry you deeper into the desert! The desert of Erg Chigaga is everything you could imagine and more. I could have stayed there for the whole duration of our trip in Morocco! It is glorious and majestic; like a sea of tall dunes in every direction. This is the real desert that people dream of visiting. We were so blessed to be able to visit it, guided by Ali and his team. We look forward to visiting the desert again with Ali soon, also touring the rest of the country with him as well. Thank you Sahara Feeling!!

Of note, our group consisted of 2 women and 1 man. We felt safe and welcome. The traditional tents house actual beds with clean sheets and blankets. The hygienic facilities have full bathrooms with showers. Everyone at Sahara Feeling speaks at least a little English. Ali speaks English very well and he and many of his staff speak a few languages each.

Fabulous trip to the desert
Dec. 2018 • Couples
We booked a 3 day trip from Marrakech to the Erg Chigaga with Ali. Beforehand Helena was extremly helpful organizing the whole set up via email, making a great offer and answering mails super quickly and utmost friendly. Ali picked us up at our Riad timely in the mornings and off we went over the Atlas montains...Ali is a great and sensible driver and guide, took us to all the important and scenic places. We had a lovely trip and a wonderful time at his camp in the desert, excelent food and enjoyed the desert feeling tremendously. Thanks again dear Ali and Helena for an unforgettable stay.

Beautiful Moroccan nature
Oct. 2018 • Family
We (two adults and a child) booked a seven day trip from Marrakech through the Atlas, the Dadès- and Todra-canyon and Draa-valley to the desert Erg Chegaga and back to Marrakech.
We definitely had an impressive time in Morocco and unique experiences which caused lasting memories!
Ali, our gentle and patient driver and guide, always did his best to make our trip as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He drove us well and safe in his modern 4x4 jeep (unfortunately more hours than we expected and much more than our 12-year-old boy feared), stopped wherever we liked for a photo, organize simple but lovely Riads and took care that we didn't have to eat the same type of tajine twice a day…
Especially enjoyable was the hiking day in the Dadès canyon with Lahcen, a joung and motivated student who directed us through unforgettable landscapes, colourful mountains, an unexpected deep river and green valleys where nuts, almonds, figs and apples seemed to grow directly into our mouths.
Also the freedom and virginity of the desert impressed us a lot! It is a place of serenity and peace where you can leave your footprints as if they were the first there ever. It is a place of silence and tranquility where you can hear the chewing of your dromedar as well as the breeze through the sand. It's a place where you get an idea of nothingness and perishability. But it's also a place where you can slide down the reddish dunes on sandboards, jubilating and cheerful as it is a once in a lifetime experience - especially at sunrise and sundown!
Together with the lond driving hours in the car the most simple and quite upsetting night with the nomadic people won't stay in best memories.
After all it was an inimitable journey through a very different culture but if you engage in this foreignness you will have an unforgettable time - with Sahara Feeling.
Thank you!

Wonderful trip, very individual and unique
Nov. 2018 • Friends
We had a great 4 day trip with Ali and Helen from Marrakesh to the Sahara desert. They were very experienced and knew how to avoid the places overflowing with tourists, and visit some very unique and really beautiful sites. Also no need to worry that they will recommend shops they have deals with, like so many other guides in Morocco. 100% trustworthy.

Helen is also really great at helping to plan a trip that works great for ones interests. It's a long way from Marrakesch to the breathtakingly beautiful Erg Chigaga, so don't try to cram in too much, or you'll spent most of the trip in the car. Especially make sure to have a full day in the desert, that is definitely the highlight. You can trust, that Helen's tips are 100% in your interest and she's great at individualizing your trip to your likes.

The accommodations where all very nice, the food was good, and Ali was a great driver and second Guide. I can whole heartedly recommend it to everyone, who is looking for a beautiful, individual, and comfortable tour.

The Best.
Oct. 2018 • Couples
We had an amazing trip in Morocco but I must say the time with Ali was the best!! First off he's hilarious, we started taking notes of his jokes to not forget any. Also I really wasn't expecting anything much as far as food in the desert but my god it was the finest food we had all trip!! The camp is a wonderful setup, we slept like babies. The drive down was a geographical overload, the size and colouring of the places Ali showed, was mind-blowing. Like the rockies got tidied or something. He knows all the best places to stop. We asked about carpets, he took us to this place with the best selection we saw all trip. Same happened with Argan oil, he took us to where they were literally making pure argan right there!!! Also Ali must know half the country, everywhere we stopped he had people he knew. Most important tho is that traveling with my wife our friend I was worried about safety. We had some bad weather, extreamilty uncommon but it does happen. Ali must have made 30 calls to his friends and knew where was safe and where to avoid. HIs English is definitely good enough so no worries there!!! This is the best company to go with 100%

I spent 4 amazing days on the Erg Chigaga Tour with Ali. I really liked, that it was not overly touristy but still quite authentic and exciting (I hope, it stays that way). Would definitely recommend, especially since the service was outstanding and the people were super friendly and eager to share their unique culture.
