It is only good for bed and food while you visit Machu Picchu. With few exceptions it is a tourist trap. But that is not why you are here!

Aguas Calientes is in a beautiful place surrounded by towering jungle covered peaks. The hot springs are a great place to relax & meet other travelers. We definitely enjoyed our soak in the hot springs.

There is not much to do in Aguas Calientes, so if you have free time it is ok to go, don't expect much, the hottest pool is just warm and they don't accept credit card to buy food/drinks there.

OMG, you must visit the hot springs. They look a bit dirty on arrival but that is just the colour of the water. Each pool is emptied daily so that it is always fresh. The hot shower before you go into the pools are great....More

Very dissapointing setup for a very scenic view. Nothing close to the santa teresa hot springs. I dont recommend it.
