Sunset

If Kiltepan is for sunrise, then lake danum is for sunset. Nice place to chill and maybe camp for a night.

Relaxing! While other vacationers & backpackers are enjoying somewhere else, our group was here. No crowds & no noisy party.

Lake Danum is located between Sagada and Besao and a perfect place for picnics and walks as it can be accessed by the road or by the trails. It is also perfect for picnics, so pack a basket and go. But please take your garbage with you.

When we arrived at this small lake, it was surrounded by tall and beautiful trees but the water is brown to orange and looks very toxic. I am very sure it is not toxic but something that happens naturally, am not sure if it's because of algae growth or whatever but I must say, it made it look special! We... More

Visited the place in the morning & found the place almost deserted . This looks like more of a pond but as per the reviews, the sunset here is very beautiful. This is a nice place ti pitch a tent at night but one has to bring all the provisions since there are no stores nor restaurants nearby. Still, worth... More

Was surprised to see the choco-colored water; but still a beauty! Very nice view with bonfire and some crisps and drinks.

The lake is a simple lake but it is amazing because it becomes foggy. Just about 10 minutes after we were there, the lake

Nothing special about this place, but you'd be surprised at how fast fog can come and go. Setting up a bonfire is very ideal since it can get very cold, but ask a local to do set up one. The place was also swarming with cow poo so be careful where you step. :D

Not a big lake but still a beauty! It's along the road, very accessible and for free 🤗. Nice place to have a rest before taking another course of trekking 😅.
