Very ineresting for those who want to really know about Bucovina's monasteries! Built at the request of a great Moldavian leader, Anstasie Crimca, known for his wisdom and high education at the time (the 16-th century). It has a unique architectural style and it's now...More

It's one of the most unusual monasteries. It's a fortress surrounded by an apple tree plantation and is very peaceful. It is the tallest monastery in Bucovina.

If you are travelling in Romania by car you should stop to this monastery. Is like a well preserved fortress. The nuns are polite and they try to help you, if you need help. It is a place to rest your mind and soul.

Our first on a day tour around the painted monasteries was charming and peaceful. The interior was lovingly cared for. Built in 1609 it is in a lovely setting in the countryside. Dragomirna is the tallest church in Moldavia. Exquisite and intricate carvings on the...More

Dragomirna monastery is a historical monument and a working nuns monastery. Proportions are unusual making it seem narrow. A beautiful area and close by Suceava
