This is an Orthodox church in the foothill of the Gorica hill, built between the 9th and 11th centuries, and it is part of a group of pre-Romanesque monuments. This is also the oldest preserved building in Podgorica. Beneath the altar there is a small subterranean passage, which was believed to have led to Duklja.

One of the attractions you should visit when in Podgorica. Walking distance from the city. It's a beautiful church. It's great feeling to see that old structures still standing, smelling the thick air and touching the ancient walls. located on a beautiful garden. Some graves around which we could not find any information about the owners. Must see in Podgorica.

The chapel here is often busy on Sundays and saints' days, but if you want to drop in other times for a quiet moment, it's nearly always open. I often stop in on my way to or from Gorica Park.

This is a lovely old church nestled in the hill at the edge of toen on the city centre side. It is very nicely kept. I didn't go into the cemetery at the back but if you do (I was warned) be careful not to fall in a grave

Church of St. George, which is located at the end of Liberty Street, in the city center, is the ideal place to visit.

Really lovely evening walk, look at the old tombstones, light a candle. Really peaceful setting for reflection. Lovely old church and good to see if you're going to Gorica.

Small, traditional church on the edge of a hilly park. It was open and the caretaker was doing some cleaning. We were left to our own experience. The grounds are well cared for and add to the serenity. Gravestones are plentiful and further up the hill looked like a larger cemetery. We are not familiar with the local Orthodox Church... More

Definitely worth a visit, this cute old chapel sits at the entrance to the Gorica Hill Park. The church is one of the oldest in Podgorica. The wall to wall frescos are a stunning display of religious art.

This church from the 11th century is the oldest in Podgorica and lies at the foot of Gorica hill. The church is rather modest inside, but has some nice icons and frescoes from 19th century. This church is one of the few buildings which survived the heavy WWII bombing.

We walked to this church from Podgorica's new town. It is a lovely old church surrounded by a little graveyard. It is not far from this site to the Partizan's Memorial which we also visited. St George's Church has many lovely old icons inside including one of Saint George and the dragon. This church is a very lovely and peaceful... More

Not worth seeing, small and uninspiring. Have seen more interesting orthodox churches elsewhere. The graveyard behind was overgrown and unenterable but didn't look worth seeing anyway.
