This is a powerful monument which speaks volumes about Vladimir Vysotsky. I won't ruin the history lesson for you, you can learn that when you get there, but let me just tell you that this monument has skulls, guitars, and polished stainless steel. You really...More

I stumbled on this monument in a park next to the river as I was trying to find a view of the Millennium bridge. It was a pretty monument that was deserted on teh morning that I visited. It was only afterwards that I read...More

We walked for nearly an hour to the other side of the river to find this much-talked-about statue, and we were very glad we did. It dominates the riverbank with its eye-watering scale, vast artistic ambition and clear adoration for its beloved subject. The lines...More

He died in 1980 of excessive alcohol and drug use. Unprofessional medical assistance.influenced by a profiteering entourage contributed to his early death at...More

The park was nice & clean. Love the bridge backdrop! Nothing else much to see there. They need to install more artwork into that park.

I really don't know what Vysotcky monument is doing over here, but its actually on of poor tourists places in this city. If you know his songs/movies - you have to visit. Otherwise forget it...

Never heard of this Russian singer (don't think a lot of people have) but the statue is nice, just in front of the Millennium bridge.

This monument, which is located on the west bank of River Moraca, was built as an honour to the Russian singer-songwriter (Vladimir Vysotsky) and is close to Moskovski Bridge.

It was funny and nicely to find this monument in this country. But his head is rather big. The place, where it's situated, is beautiful - near the river and two bridges: Moscow and Millenium.

Quite a telling tale lies beneath this Dylanesque artist. Unfortunately his life ended all too soon hence the skull at his feet. Nice location high up on the wall of the Moraca River gorge with the Millennium Br as a backdrop

The monument is nice however out of place. He was like a Bob Dylan breaking out of the Russian stranglehold on art and that is why we celebrate his short life. He was a candle burning from both ends and burned very hot. Sadly he...More
