It's an outdoor archaeological site, and my only tip would be not to forget to ask about guidance, as you're entitled to the tour guide showing you around.

It's an interesting site, even for non-connisseurs like us, but be sure to ask the guide who sells you the tickets for a tour around the place, as you're entitled to it! We didn't know that until we arrived to Zaječar.

Our visit to this well preserved Roman palace was the highlight of our trip to Serbia. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. I would travel here again.

Yes, a day trip fro Belgrade is possible, but it takes about 3.5 hours by car, or in the best case 2.5 from Belgrade to Felix Romuliana.
