We were in Bentota for a short duration..the tour starts at 4.30 pm...we were only two ppl but we took the whole boat for 50$. The boat ride was great. We stopped at herbs island....stopped at a mid water stall to have some cocunut water and saw some wild animals...not to mention the local fishermen

It is not cheap depending on the size of the boat and how many people are going (and all the stops are... More

The visit included learning about cinnamon and other local trades. We had fun on the water and learned about local trades.

Don't expect to see some thing extra ordinary, this boat trip was really nice. It didn't require any efforts and we had a really good time cruising around the river. I do recommend it.

Nice boat ride with wildlife and lovely views but the cafe was awful. We were in beautiful Sri Lanka for 18 days for our honeymoon and loved the country. The service here was awful, pretending to misunderstand our order to try and get more money from us then getting irate when we explained. Felt completely uncomfortable and shocked at the... More

Look out for the special plants and animals that live in these peaceful backwaters, from diving Little Cormorants to jumping Mud Skippers, and enjoy the beauty of these rare forests and waterways. Mangroves are essential for protecting Sri Lanka’s coast and coastal livelihoods – but they are also highly threatened.... More

Boat trip through the mangrove jungle/forest is a must when you are in Hikkaduwa. Go get your feet cleaned/massaged by fishes.
