Before and after I visited Temple of the Tooth, I took a rest here. I could see Lake, Queen's hotel and also Dalada Vidiya, the main street of Kandy from here.

A walk around the lake is fantastic even though a bunch of people tried to convince me to go to a traditional dance. A surprising amount of animals make the lake their home.

A lovely lake to go for a wander and get into the hustle and bustle of Kandy. We had a great view of the parade from one side to the other

You can do a walk during first hours of the day, interesting for temple views, architecture, etc. close to the lake you can eat typical food, and also learn about Buddhism

In the centre outside the temple of the tooth. There is nothing really special about the lake. Quite distressing to see the stray dogs around the water. You do spot some wildlife, birds and fish, but nothing else really to attract.
