Enjoyed learning about the history of tea processing, but wasn't really worth the entrance fee when we can visit government run organizations in Kandy that offer essentially the same info for free

We were shown all the old machines and the process the tea leaves went through to end up in our cup. Floors 2 and 3 didnt have much and the top floor was where you got your cup of tea

The shop has an extensive range of teas with the chance to sample some of the blends. The prices are average for Sri Lanka. Quite a small factory tour of the tea process. A must do while in Sri Lanka but not an impressive overview of the tea world. Good to try the different teas.

The title says it all, and it left much to the imagination. We were the only pair in the museum when we visited and this made our visit very quiet and seem strange. The entrance fee also includes a pot of tea at the end of the tour. Alternative drinks were offered, but those had to be paid for. Our... More

The museum is filled with old tea making machines. It is interesting for the first room or two, but then it becomes a bit tedious. Our guide droned on about these machines in a monotone like she had given this presentation a thousand times before. The best thing of all was the tea tasting at the end of the tour.... More
