This is an attraction mainly geared at young kids ( and possibly teenagers ) . Essentially you roam around with sheep . There is also an equestrian show, which excepts for a couple of stunts is a bit repetitive . Having said that the view of the valley from the Farm is nice and if you have a couple of... More

The farm was badly maintained and we had to walk very far just to watch a equidestrial performance which was boring. We did not see a good view as there was fog and we were told that fog comes often. The sheep were not groomed and their fur was dirty. I advice against coming to this farm as their facilities... More

Title suggestion is especially for people who enjoy walking and hiking as the farm is very hilly and certain parts are quite steep despite the steps. Going in cooler weather, but with good sun, makes the visit less arduous and gives amazing views. The sheep were a bit grubby looking, and were typical farm animals that are attracted to visitors... For kids, the basis of the Cingjing Veterans Farm is the grazing sheep, the horses, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with them. For adults though, the attractions are the rolling hills here, the mountains in the distance, and the fresh clean air everywhere in between...oh, except in the immediate vicinity of the abundant sheep and horse... There wasn't as many sheep as we expected on the farm when we visited but that may be due to the raining weather. It was drizzling now and then. The sheep fur were drenched and they doesn't look really very happy strolling around. They only got excited and came to us when we bought the dry food from the dispenser.... More

Make sure you plan your schedule before the visit so that you can get to enjoy what they have to offer in the farm and it's not only sheep, they have horses and other activities too.

The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful from the top of the hill. Well worth a visit when you are in this area of Nantou/Sun Moon Lake. There are other activities eg sheep mustering, and folk music, etc

As the farm is at least 2-hour drive from Taichung City, be prepared for the slow week end traffic when local tourists all flock to here. We started at 9 am and arrived slightly before noon. But the long journey was partially compensated by the mountainous scenic view of Taiwan's Central Mountain Range. We were lucky as the Xmas Sunday... More

We were lucky and happened to be there during their annual anniversary celebrations. So we managed to take part in their special annual event where they herded 99 sheep downhill towards the town centre where the Guo Min guesthouse is. It was good fun. Try to check the show schedules because the sheep and horse shows do add value to... More

We reached with our 2 kids (4 year old girl and 5 year old boy) at 4pm on a weekday and the Green Green Grassland closes at 5pm. Missed the horse performance which was at 3.45pm. Hurried to catch the sheep and the children were thrilled. Wanted to ride on horse about 4.45pm but they closed the counter. Kinda disappointed.... More
