Nice beach and waves

We visited Red Frog Neach for half a day. The beach is lovely with larger waves. We are glad to visit and move on.

Great beach. Worth a few extra bucks to take the short cut. $5 for the short cut and $5 for a rental of a chaise lounge. For Bocas the beers are a bit pricey, but still cheap. Watch out for the riptide, it can be really strong.

Spent an afternoon here and we are glad we made the trek. One of the most beautiful beaches in all of panama.

Please read this if you're considering visiting Bastimentos: (This refers to the island of Bastimentos as a whole, not just Red Frog Beach.) My boyfriend and I are currently in Bocas Town. Having booked 2 nights in a hostel on Bastimentos, we were prepared to head there when we read about a 23 year old American tourist who was found... More

Red Frog Beach is beautiful but the lack of responsibility by anyone to improve the quality of the beach is disappointing. Female travellers beware that a girl recently died here and sadly it is believed she may have been attacked so please be vigilant at night. I would also advise not to travel alone from here to Wizard Beach and... More

We took a water taxi for five dollars to the island and then paid five dollars for the entrance. We were shown immediately a couple red frogs, so that was very neat. The beach is quite nice. As with some of the other beaches, there was a bit of debris on the shore, but here they did a much better... More

We landed on Bastimentos from Bocas via water taxi. The walk to the beach was part of the best part of the experience on Bastimentos!!! The short walk (less than a mile I would guess) was full of wondeful wildlife. We saw caimans, parrots, guacamaya birds (beautifully colored!), the requisite red frog, small crabs with one huge claw, dragon flies,... More

Nice beach with hardly any people. The water was too rough, but the beach and surrounding area was beautiful.

Beautiful waters and great surf make this a must if you are coming to Bocos del Torro. Its a cool little walk to actually get to the beach, which makes this even a better experience. Surfing is a MUST DO if you come here.

The beach is gorgeous. You do have to pay $5 to enter the island (bring small bills...really hard to even get change for a $20!) and you also need transportation to get there. We walked up the main street and negotiated with a guy to bring us there and back for $10 per person roundtrip. We thought that was good... More
