I'm in love with this place.
You do have to arrive early as this is a very busy place. We arrived around 9am ready for opening time. There are some beautifully kept gardens to walk through prior to getting to the temple. These are great...More
The Lotus Temple complex is highly over rated. First you walk through a nice garden, before entering the temple. The temple itself is very plain, austere and grossly over rated. There is nothing of note inside and is not worth the walk.
It’s free of charge.
Before entering the temple you will see a lot of local people selling souvenirs.
You will pass thru a huge and beautiful garden before entering to the lotus temple. You have to take off your shoe (plastic bag is provided)

Beautiful, peaceful place despite the hordes of tourists. Absolutely still worth a visit though. Walk around the perimeter and hen go inside for some quiet time in the midst of a crazy busy.
Surely the design must have been inspired by Sydney Opera House?!

well the approach to the temple are some steps which u can manage with a child so if there are 2 of u one can go and deposit the stroller and then u can enter the temple.... but its a quiet n silence zone inside the temple so the baby will have to be quiet or u can visit it one at a time and meditate n repose in the self for a bit....
enjoy your trip.
