India gate is located very near to President house and Parliament house. Names of Indian soldiers who were martyred during world war are encrypted on the walls

We walked to India Gate from the national museum. It's was about 10minutes, a pleasant walk and there's lots of people selling ice creams. Although no meal options it's just snacks and sweets, there's drinks available. It was quite busy, a lot busier then other similar monuments around the world. My sister who is very blonde and fair was asked... More

Fine to see this and the Parliament from your car, but if it's nice out and you want to take it easy, have a picnic on the adjacent lawns....there'll be many locals joining you, especially on Sunday, which is fun

The Delhi Memorial, often known as India Gate, is the memorial to the 70 000 war dead of India . Very popular with the tourists, and the gardens and greenery act like a magnet for the locals. We only had a fleeting stop here ,but would have liked to spend more time...

Too crowded with locals all wanting pics. I can understand if people are Indian History students but did not do much for us. Can be added as drive by tour ad too much security checks for no apparent reasons . I would have liked protection from hawkers.

The gate was packed to the gills with crowds. Felt a little unsafe to me for pickpockets etc, so I elected to stay in the car and take photos from there. I'll admit that I got some great shots and was pleased. My driver was my guide in this and he was right in the money as usual.
