Fantastic, I add a note of well preserved. You do not leave sad but hopeful. A must go, if you missed it, you would have no sense of this icon importance for his countrymen.

This building is an insight into the final hours of Ghandi's life. A very humbling experience, well preserved with dignity and respect. Not a huge site to visit but worth going to experience the reality of this man and his passion for peace.

The many photographic displays portraying Gandhi's life and death are informative and the display of footsteps to the Martyr's Column is very original.

Opted to come here instead of the National Ghandi Museum. It was a bit out of the way but totally worth a visit! The simple and peaceful setup of the museum seem to espouse Ghandi’s values in life, and I enjoyed reading about the many...More

I found it totally inspirational to see where Ghandi lived and worked in the final months of his life, which was also where, tragically, he was assassinated. The house and grounds give a huge sense of peacefulness and Ghandi’s greatness as well as his humility....More
