The hangman temple is at the highest point of Shimla. The only concern while visiting the place is that if u r wearing a spectacle, u must must hide it. If seen by monkey's, they will definitely snatch it from you.

jakhu temple is situated on a hill of shimla devoted to lord bajrangbali..temple is full of monkey and very awesome to see shimla city in one view

I visited this on 24th March 2017 at around 1600 hrs. At the top is the legendary Hanumanji's temple. It also has about 100ft long Hanumanji's statue that can easily be seen from Shimla. I felt it is a 'Jagrut' place and is a must visit if you are Hanumanji's worshipper. Not recommended to try to get to this place... More

This is by far the most amusing temple I have seen. Nothing to do with inside of the temple. It the 109ft tall statue of Veer Hanuman with his massive "Gada" (mace). What's more amusing fact is, you can see it from the city if you are aware of this fact itself. The statue protrudes from among dense trees. People... More

Some tough rides through steep roads lead you to this wonderful place of worship that houses the towering statue of Lord Hanuman which oversees Shimla and safeguards! Good Temple with lots of Vanar Sena. its on top of hill nice clean area very tall big Statue of hanuman. instead of Mandir Darshan you have to keep looking around for monkey cos they snatch things from you so keep wood stick with you. but nice temple.
