The accessibility to nearly half of the palace was cut out for general public when I visited. Got to know that there's a lot more but now visitors aren't allowed to venture into those areas. The artifacts and history is intriguing. Your visit will be worth the time and money if you can catch a glimpse of the illuminated palace... More

This is a beautiful and huge palace. It has an amazing architecture both inside and outside. Lots of places to take pictures. There is a beautiful park outside. Visit late in the afternoon and hang around to see the palace lit up at 730 for just an hour. The palace looks amazing when lit at night!

Mysore Palace is the venue for the famous Mysore Dasara Festival. It's a Museum now. Priceless national treasure and the pride of a kingdom, the Mysore Maharaja Palace is the seat of the famed Wodeyar Maharaja's of Mysore. Very good architecture. I surprised about the paintings in which the colour is till not faded over thousand years of age. The... More

Must visit in life time. An excellent palace with best of art effects and gold and silver work on various structures. Each part of the palace is marked 1 to 21 and we can get a gadget at the entrance which describes the various parts of palace marked from 1 to 1

A great palace. I went on Monday just after Christmas. It was crowded, and I needed wheelchairs for my parents. It was immediately arranged, and the wheelchair attendant also acted as a guide and took us around quite fast and explaining the things on the way. It helped us to skip some crowds also. Some places they had to use... More

Great place to spend time doing the audio tour. Return in the evening to see the lights for free but note that it is not lit up every night so schedule your visit to Mysure so to be sure not to miss the illumination.

Mysore Maharaja's Palace is one of the best palaces of so many that I have ever seen. It presents a grand style and appearance and tells the story of human efforts and aesthetic sense. Spread over in a very large area, the palace astonishes the viewers for both its interiors and exteriors. The palace is very close to the City... More

On the outside not so interesting but many interesting features inside in the many rooms. A mix of multiple styles. Avoid weekends as you will feel like cattle. If you are paying the foreign ticket price the audio is included, and it is fairly informative if you are into that - but the number indicating what to hear seems well... More
