My lasting impression of the Jain Temple is one of opulence and gold. Yes it is fantastic and very beautiful but I am sorry but the Lotus Temple in Delhi felt more spiritual for me. Certainly you must visit but stay open minded.

I did not go inside this one. Women will need a scarf for their head. If you are menstruating you are not allowed in. There is a spot to leave your shoes. A large sign states the rules in English. Photos are allowed.

You really need a guide to explain all the nuances or you will miss most of the facts that will provide more meaning to what you see and experience. You do need to remove your shoes. You cannot go into the actual area of worship if you are wearing black.

This is a ideal place to visit when in Mumbai, its so calm a peaceful inside. The architecture and the marble inside this temple really do make it a place to be respectful of as it is gorgeous inside. With paintings and sculptures aplenty here, this is somewhere where you will find tranquillity in abundance. Once you enter the building... More

The famous Jain temple of Mumbai is located on the main road walkeshwar. It is also known as the Babu Amichand Panalal Adishwarji Jain temple. The architecture of the temple and the sculptures and paintings of deities and saints inside are particularly noteworthy.
