During my visit to Mumbai, we drove past this place and could see the greatness this ground brings. My uncle told me that my dad used to love coming here back in the 60's. Although I need to still ask my dad about his park, my uncle told me how they loved to spend their time here playing, talking to... More

All the famous Mumbai cricketers have been brought up in the Shivaji park grounds. This is famous to unearth local talent.

Lots of cricket games going on in a fairly small area. 11am on a Wednesday watching many local teams go at it. Sit and watch any game for a short while and you can see why India is so goo and enthusiastic about the game.

Fun place to see lots of cricket games, and very close to the water so you can have a bit of a walk and check out both!

This park is an enormous space where upto ten cricket matches are played every waking moment, all with umpires ,separate boundaries and all player smartly dressed in their cricket whites. Here can see and feel the enthusiasm which is evident across India for 'the beautiful game,'

Non Marathas & non locals are treated very badly by Marathas living nearby. It is a very horrible place. Ladies are never safe there.

Shivaji Park has a great seaside corso, Maharashtra museum , public baths (must see) and cricket grounds. I saw where Sachin Tendulkar played his early cricket and his club, Bengal Tigers. Even walked around the pitch

There's a Hang Out Bakery, swimming pools, temple, grounds, bench's, Gym... Its a great place for the locals, and to unwind a walk in the evening, if your living in the Matunga area. I wouldn't travel out of my way to go here though, its just a common all round park.
