An utterly charming heritage jewellery store. The owner was extremely welcoming and patient while I chose a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings with my husband . Definitely an experience and so happy to have gotten a good souvenir to remember the beautiful pink city of Jaipur by.

We visited Gem Palace as the jewelry place to visit in Jaipur. They have a beautiful collection of vintage, antique jewelry to see. However the overall service is extremely poor and arrogant. We had to buy a particular item as they were the only store that had the piece ready to purchase but absolutely resented giving them the business.
Next time will ensure that we purchase elsewhere.

Gem Palace has a beautiful history and tradition of court jewelers to the Maharajas of Rajasthan, far above any other local jewelers. We saw some incredible pieces in the glass display cases at Oberoi Rajvilas, and we just knew we had to buy something. We were very nicely chauffeured from the hotel to the shop and back, compliments of management; once inside, we found a beautiful bracelet, on the same day we were leaving Jaipur. Samir, the co-owner (speaks perfect English and Italian), made sure it was altered on time and actually delivered to us at the airport - excellent service! Items come with certificate and guarantee. Ecstatic that we now have a piece of jewelry from Jaipur's pre-eminent jeweler. Highly recommended for those who value tradition and excellence in jewelry making comparable to the major houses in Europe.

Wow! This place is everything it’s famed to be. Bapu (sp?) was warm, charming and stayed open well past closing hours (Saturdays are 7pm) so our friends who were running late could browse and shop. He has exquisite jewelry ranging from $400 to upwards of $100,000s Ask to see the antique enameled bird flask. It’s not for sale but it’s history will amaze you. Once we wrapped up our chatting and shopping, we invited Bapu to have a cocktail with us. He politely declined and told us it was his birthday and he was going to dinner with his family. Bapu, we hope you had a wonderful birthday and will always remember you!

This is a worthwhile venue to visit. Very informative about the dyeing and blocking printing. The carpets were superb. Garments and jewellery lovely.

Visiting Jaipur with work and we visited this store. I had brought a ring with me from home to have a stone placed in it as I had lost it.
The owner quickly had one of his workers find me a suitable stone that would fit and off he went to have it set.
Whilst waiting for the ring to be set the owner showed me some uncut emeralds straight from the mines and had someone uncover his vintage cars out the back for me to view.
The group I was with had left the location, the owner of the store organised his driver take me back to the bazaar. Unbelievable and amazing.
The whole thing cost me $10 AUD, wonderful customer service. Well done.

Since 1852, this iconic location has seen untold members of British royalty, US politicians and celebrities, and has an amazing amount of simply gorgeous jewelry to see. Beautiful store.

Gem palace blows any other place away in India. A must see if your visiting Jaipur. The place where the Queens of England, Princess Diana, Camilla and Charles, Mick Jagger, King of Oman have visited and purchased jewellery. It is not only a boutique but a museum. A must visit !
