On the day 3 of our trip we had a lot of time to explore the markets and our guide told us that most of the marble temple idols are made in and around Jaipur and it was a great experience to see all the collection

Khajane walon ka rasta is one of those markets which is hardly visited by those tourists who are on a short visit to Jaipur. However, those who are hunting for traditional marble handicraft items are most likely to receive recommendation to visit this market. Those who want to see traditional sculptors working at their open workshops must visit this place. This market is centrally located and connects Indira Market to Chandpole Bazar. One can approach it from Panch Batti via Sinh Dwar. The second specialty of the market is shops of tailors and cloth. There was a time when ready-made garments were neither available nor in vogue. At that time the markets used to be flooded with buyers in season of marriages or just before opening of schools. There were many famous tailors and no true Jaipurite could afford not to know them. This market was very popular for cut-piece cloths. Cut-piece is cheaper than cloth available in yardage. With popularity of ready-made garments, the importance of Khajane wala market has declined and you may find many families in Jaipur who have never been to this market. The market also has shops which sell articles related to tailoring

Most interesting place to but statues in stone, marble, plaster of paris etc. This market is centuries old craft bazaar hailing from times of kings and the craftsmen are from the heritage of history.
From small to large, from cheap to highly luxurious but astonishing pieces of art and craft, you must visit this place to see the craft heritage of India, and you will surely end up purchasing a piece or two.

The place is surrounded by many moortikars. The best place to buy idols or sculptures. Natha Moorti Museum is the oldest firm of this place, people says it's around 138 years old with experience of 4 generations.

I don't know exactly but it was named after the group of khajanchi people (who were care taker of vault of Maharaja) came here to live. That's why it's known as khajane walon ka rasta.
